REFLECTION QUESTIONLand SinksMuch of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?
Elaine Knechtel 4/30/2024 6:27 AMI can make choices such as not buying palm and pulp oil or products with these ingredients because every time I do this I'm voting for them to stop destroying peatlands. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Elaine Knechtel 4/25/2024 5:34 AMI think that people in richer countries eat more meat because there are a lot of resources that go into raising animals for slaughter. Eating meat can be a good source of protein but can harm the planet in many ways. -
